Reflecting on 2025: A Year of Fur-tastic Moments

Looking back, 2025 was filled with heartwarming milestones:

Pets finding loving forever homes—like our four new rescued kittens.

Pet health and homemade pet food recipes that brought communities closer.

Adorable stories that warmed our hearts—like “The Kittens and the Crocheted Tail.”

Heart-warming bonds between pet owners and animal lovers alike.

Every snuggle, playdate, and wagging tail reminded us how much joy our furry friends bring into our lives. These moments motivate us to keep making a positive difference in the pet community in 2026.

New Year, New Goals: What We Hope for 2026

As the calendar turns, we’re excited to embrace new aspirations for our beloved pets and community:

More pet food recipes, more instructables, and healthy pet tips.

Raising awareness about pet health and wellness.

Promoting kindness, patience, and responsibility among pet owners young and old.

Our goal is simple: make 2026 a year where every tail wags a little happier and every purr is a little more content.

Staying Positive & Hopeful in 2026

Start the new year with optimism! Challenges may come, but with hope and community spirit, we can turn obstacles into opportunities for growth and kindness. Peanut butter oatmeal dog treats

Peanut butter oatmeal dog treats Today, I am super excited to share my techniques for making another truly wholesome dog treat with you. After-all, your furry companions deserve healthy food, so that they can be their best selves. These pup treats are the perfect snack to make ahead of time for your cuddly pooch as a reward for their love and companionship, obedience, potty-training, or for any other training in general.  My fur baby seems to think that the treats taste better when they're made in different cute shapes. So, I use three different cookie cutters when I make these dog treats. Plus, using different cookie cutter sizes also allows me to make good use of the leftover dough pieces. The three shapes that I am using for this recipe are a gingerbread man, a star, and a flower-shaped cookie cutter. (I use regular cookie cutters to make mine.) If you don't have any cookie cutters, that's okay too. After rolling out the dough, cut it into squared-shaped pieces, or use a...

DIY pet bed

DIY pet bed Do you have a fur baby that sometimes has to sleep in a kennel, during times when you're away from home? This is a simple, no-sew DIY kennel bed project that anyone can accomplish.  I timed myself when making my pooch this DIY kennel bed. It actually took me about forty-two minutes from start to finish. My almost eight-year-old boxer has to be placed in her dog's kennel during thunderstorms, or else she simply goes loco. We purchased two different kennel mats for her, but for some unknown reason, she doesn't like either of them. Instead of her using them to lay on, she wads them up, and literally kicks them to the corner of her kennel. Since Princess (my dog) isn't getting any younger, she really doesn't need to be lying on the hard floor of the kennel. So, I came up with this DIY kennel bed idea for her. The length and width of my dog's kennel is 54 inches x 37 inches. So, I cut out two pieces of soft material that size, then I cut strips along the ...

Maine Coon Cats: The Gentle Giants of the Feline World

Image by Laura Maria from Pixabay Maine Coon Cats: The Gentle Giants of the Feline World What Makes Maine Coon Cats Special? Maine Coon cats are known for their large size, friendly personalities, and beautiful coats. They are one of the largest domesticated cat breeds, with some males weighing up to 18 pounds or more! Despite their size, Maine Coons are gentle and affectionate, making them great companions for families. Origins of the Maine Coon Breed Legend has it that Maine Coon cats are descendants of Marie Antoinette's beloved pets, who were sent to America during the French Revolution. While this story may be more fiction than fact, Maine Coons are indeed native to the state of Maine and are well-adapted to cold climates. Caring for a Maine Coon Cat Due to their long, thick fur, Maine Coons require regular grooming to prevent matting and tangles. They are also prone to obesity, so it's important to feed them a balanced diet and provide plenty of opportunities...
